Student Internships

Undergraduate and graduate internships are accepted to various programs within NATIVE HEALTH in varying length internships. Under the supervision of a Program Manager or Division Director, students will gain additional skill sets. NATIVE HEALTH offers internships in the fall and spring semesters.

Internship Applicant Requirements

  • Enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Working on undergraduate or post-graduate degree
  • Current TB skin test within past year
  • Submission of current immunization records
  • Background check or Fingerprint ID

Qualifications:

  • Strong problem solving, writing, and oral communication skills; organized and attentive to detail
  • Ability to multitask; manage wide and varied projects; and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team as tasks require
  • Personable and approachable attitude required
  • Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality of all types of information
  • Ability to pass pre-internship background check (if required)
  • Current TB skin test within past year
  • Submission of current immunizations and photo ID

Application Process

  • In order to apply for an internship you must check with your school to see if a current agreement is in place with NATIVE HEALTH

  • A limited number of internships will be accepted per semester. Very often internship positions are filled months in advance

Medical and dental clinical internships or externships are not accepted unless through pre-approved contractual sites, six months to one year in advance.
