The NATIVE HEALTH Board of Directors invites you to participate in its annual fundraising and community awards event—Laughter is the Best Medicine: A Night Out with NATIVE HEALTH on Saturday, September 16, 2017.
Proceeds go to help fund the NATIVE HEALTH Emergency Assistance Program.
Laughter is the Best Medicine provides greatly needed funding for the NATIVE HEALTH Emergency Assistance Program (EAP) — a fund available to support families that reside on American Indian Reservation Communities during a medical crisis. Native Americans from rural communities that experience significant health crisis or serious injuries are often transported to Phoenix to access appropriate levels of medical care. EAP assists with the financial costs of travel, shelter, food and personal care. The Emergency Assistance Program is currently funded by NATIVE HEALTH employee donations and the annual fundraiser—but the need is greater than these limited resources. Every dollar raised goes directly to help these families. Your support does make a difference.
The Emergency Assistance Program demonstrates the commitment of NATIVE HEALTH to the American Indian community, and it is understood that the depth of service is reflected in the people who have dedicated their lives in service roles. In appreciation, we are also honoring community members and organizations who have shown outstanding service to the Phoenix community. Past honorees include:
