The NATIVE HEALTH Board of Directors invites you to its fourth annual fund-raising and community awards event, Laughter is the Best Medicine: A night out with NATIVE HEALTH, Saturday, September 16, 2017 at the Orange Tree Golf Club and Resort. This years featured entertainment will be the comedy duo James and Ernie.
Community is an important aspect to bringing people together to make change happen and this year Dr. Leland and Mrs. Eunice Fairbanks will be honored for thier lifetime history of service to the local Native American community and to NATIVE HEALTH. The Pascua Yaqui Tribal Dental Program will also be receiving honor for thier outstanding outreach to and expansion of oral health services to Tribal members. Past honorees include; Native American advocate, John Lewis; The Association of American Indian Physicians; community advocates Erma Mundy, Cecilia Miller, Diane Daychild, Karen Thorne and Aunt Rita’s Foundation.
Musical entertainment will be performed by Native American Flutist Jonah Littlesunday, and our Master of Cermonies will be Randy Kemp.
Tickets are $75 which include a dinner (salad, main course and desert) and featured entrainment. Funds raised through attendance, sponsorships, donations, and the silent auction will provide financial support to the NATIVE HEALTH Emergency Assistance Program—a program that assists Native American families with the financial costs of travel, shelter, food and personal care when a family member is transported to a Phoenix Metropolitan hospital for medical emergencies.
