NATIVE HEALTH Indigenous Kindergarten Boot Camp is a free and fun, six week, online class to help your 4-6 year old get ready for kindergarten. This FREE and FUN online classroom is held three times a week, and shown on the NATIVE HEALTH Facebook page: www.facebook.com/nativehealthphoenix.

Help your child prepare for kindergarten by tuning into Indigenous Kindergarten Boot Camp. This 18 class program includes various read alouds, activities and mini-lessons focused on skills necessary to be successful in kindergarten. There will be weekly activities, and other fun things for your Native American youth. For more information email: lpuati@nachci.com

Week 1

Today we will take a quick tour of our classroom, take a look inside our box of supplies and read our first book, “I Like Myself.”

This week we’ll read “When Turtle Grew Feathers” and write a book report. For activities you will make a paper plate turtle, learn about things that alive and not alive, and a make a pizza using shapes.

For Week 3 we’ll read “Giving Thanks ” and write a book report. For activities: Letters and sounds, Jellybean Graph, Gratitude Jar.

For Week 4 we’ll read “The Way I Feel” and write a book report. For activities you’ll make: Emoji Popsicle Stick Masks, a Ladybug Roll and Record, and Watermelon Seed Counting.

It’s Week 5 and we’ll read “Trudy’s Healing Stone”. For activities you’ll make a sensory bag and sensory box, and healing stone.
