Join the NATIVE HEALTH Indigenous Wellness Team for a virtual workshop on the basics of canning at home on Saturday, May 23, 2020, 2:00 PM.
Preserving food at home can be a great way to expand your pantry, save money, and preserve fresh produce. In this class we will go over the basics of water bath canning, equipment, and guidelines for canning safely. We will demonstrate two recipes – salsa and squash pickles – which will showcase the basic methods to begin experimenting with different recipes at home. The class will be presented via Zoom so you will need a Zoom account and internet connection. Details about how to access the class via Zoom and class handouts will be emailed a few days before the start of the class.
