NHW Community Health Center, a program of NATIVE HEALTH, is located at 2423 West Dunlap Avenue, Suite 140, off the I-17 Freeway near the MetroCenter Mall. NHW Community Health Center provides primary medical, dental, behavioral health, WIC and community health and wellness services.

The Northwest Extension Phase II project will extend light rail west on Dunlap Avenue from 19th Avenue, then north on 25th Avenue and across I-17 at Mountain View Road, ending on the west side of the freeway near the former Metrocenter Mall. Construction is anticipated to begin in August 2020. The first phase of work, utility relocations, will occur at various locations on Dunlap and 25th avenues and on Mountain View Road. Patients and clients of NHW Community Health Center should plan and expect intermittent traffic restrictions before their appointment.

In efforts to provide high quality care to our patients, NHW Community Health Center maintains accreditation through Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc.
The Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, also known as AAAHC, is a private, non-profit organization formed in 1979. It is the preeminent leader in developing standards to advance and promote patient safety, quality and value for ambulatory health care through peer-based accreditation processes, education and research.
Accreditation is awarded to organizations that are found to be in compliance with AAAHC standards. AAAHC currently accredits over 5,000 organizations in a wide variety of ambulatory health care settings, including ambulatory and office based surgery centers, managed care organizations, as well as Indian and student health centers, among others. With a single focus on the ambulatory care community, AAAHC offers organizations a high quality and collaborative approach to accreditation.

As a Federally Qualified Health Center, NHW Community Health Center is eligible for Federal Torts Claim Act (FTCA) medical malpractice liability protection. As such, NHW Community Health Center is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b, and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C. 233(g)-(n).
