NATIVE HEALTH’s Health Start Program presents its new Indigenous Courses. Our first workshop – Anxiety Medicine Pouch – will be on Thursday, June 10, 2:00 p.m. via Zoom. This workshop teaches techniques for calming yourself when feeling anxious through the use of the mind, breath, hands, and feet. It utilizes scientifically proven knowledge through Indigenous ways of doing. Felicia Cocotzin Ruiz is a curanderismo practitioner, natural foods chef, and folk herbalist working nearly three decades teaching food as medicine–in efforts to educate and support her community back to health both physically and spiritually.

The first 25 participants who register below will receive an essential oil roll-on.

If there are any questions please feel free to reach out to Daili Lister at (480) 550-4048, ext. 3810 or email: dlister@nachci.com

This workshop was produced by Felica Ruiz and supported by the Health Start Program at NATIVE HEALTH. Support for this workshop session was provided through a cooperative agreement (Grant No. 6 U7AMC33714-02-01 ) from the Health Resources and Services Administration, Maternal and Child Health Bureau.
