Resilient Indigenous Youth Council

NATIVE HEALTH’s Youth Resiliency Program is hosting the very first online Resilient Indigenous Youth Council for American Indian and Alaskan Native Youth. The Resilient Indigenous youth council will be an opportunity for Native youth ages 11-24 years old to strive to make a difference in their local community (Maricopa County), through culture preservation, suicide prevention, and learning many leadership skills for their future endeavors. The Resilient Indigenous Youth Council meets monthly, starting Wednesday, February 10 at 5:30 PM via Zoom.

Mission:

NATIVE HEALTH’s Resilient Indigenous Youth Council is a means of empowering Native American youth to have a meaningful role in solving community problems. This Council is also an opportunity for youth to develop their leadership potential as well as foster self-confidence and nurture cultural identity.

Eligibility:
  • Must be American Indian and/or Alaskan Native youth
  • Ages: 11-24 years old
  • Must sign and submit Resilient Indigenous Youth Consent Form to join the youth council
