The NATIVE HEALTH Walk In Your Mocs series is a non-competitive walking group. It was designed to help encourage urban Maricopa County Native American/Alaska Native communities to not only be physically active but to also support mental, spiritual and emotional wellness. Being active everyday strengthens the body and serves as one the most powerful forms of preventative healthcare. If possible, we encourage you to walk in your tribal moccasins and to move with intention and prayer as means of spiritual practice that our ancestors have always understood. Also, this would be a time to reflect on what your ancestors have endured in their mocs for us to be here.
In order to receive our incentives, you will have to email documentation/proof of your mileage to firstname.lastname@example.org. You may do this by taking a snapshot of your screen on your phone to show how many miles you walked. You may utilize any fitness app you use or have on your phone and/or watch to track your mileage. Once we receive your email, we will mail out your incentive. Deadline to email proof of mileage is Sunday, November 22, 2020.
