If you’re enrolled through AHCCCS (for adults, children, pregnant women, KidsCare, etc.), your eligibility is reviewed once a year. About 60 days before your renewal is due, AHCCCS will send a notice. Some renewals happen automatically using state and federal data — if everything matches, you may not need to do anything.

If AHCCCS doesn’t have enough data — or your information changed — you’ll need to fill out a short form to confirm eligibility.

What is AHCCCS?

AHCCCS (pronounced “access”) is Arizona’s Medicaid program. It helps people get free or low-cost health insurance. AHCCCS can cover doctor visits, medicines, hospital care, mental health services, dental care for children, and more.

Why should you apply?

You should apply for AHCCCS because it can help you:

  • Save money on health care
  • See a doctor when you’re sick or need a check-up
  • Get medicine you need
  • Stay healthy with regular checkups
  • Protect yourself from big medical bills
