Join NATIVE HEALTH’s Traditional Garden Program for Kaiāulu Lomilomi: An Introduction to Seated Lomilomi on Thursday, October 1, 2026, from 5:30-7pm at NATIVE HEALTH Central, 4041 N Central Avenue – Phoenix! Come enjoy a community experience of Hawaiian lomilomi through oli, connection, and simple practices that can be shared with ʻohana (family) of all ages.
This two-hour introductory workshop offers an opportunity to experience the Hawaiian practice of seated lomilomi and the values that guide it. Participants will learn a simple seated lomilomi sequence while discovering how this practice has traditionally been shared within ʻohana as a way to offer comfort, strengthen relationships, and mālama (care for) one another.
All who attend will be entered in a raffle to receive books on the traditions and teachings of Hawaiian massage.
Open to all. Please bring a friend or family member to accompany you. You will be practicing the massage on each other. Registration is required. Please register separately.

Instructor bio: Millie is a Kānaka Maoli lomilomi practitioner, community educator, and student in the Hawaiian and Indigenous Health and Healing program at the University of Hawaii-West Oʻahu. She has shared lomilomi and culturally based wellness practices through community workshops in Oʻahu and Arizona and is involved with Hui Mauli Ola, a Native Hawaiian nonprofit organization committed to perpetuating the pono practice of traditional Hawaiian healing.
