Commodity Senior Food Boxes
The Commodity Senior Food Program (CSFP) is a federally funded, USDA regulated food program that provides monthly supplemental nutrition boxes for qualifying, low-income, enrolled seniors aged 60 years and older. Provided by St. Mary’s Food Bank (Central) and United Food Bank (Mesa).
 
The Commodity Senior Food Program at our NATIVE HEALTH Central and NATIVE HEALTH Mesa locations are currently full. Please contact us to be placed on the waiting list.

Urban Native American Senior Food Boxes

For Native American elders, age 55 and over, in the metro-Phoenix area. These monthly boxes/bags are distributed at NATIVE HEALTH Central and NATIVE HEALTH Mesa, and may contain toiletries, cleaning products, books, produce and food.  This program is funded by private donors and organizations.  Limited availability and dependent on community support.

Elder Talking Circle
Elder Talking Circles are led by Roy Johnston, Traditionalist. Open to Indigenous elders 55 and older. These Talking Circles are hosted the second Monday of the month. Lunch will be provided.
Elder Tech 101

NATIVE HEALTH, in partnership with Wellpoint will be offering a four-part Elder Tech 101 workshop(s) series designed to support Native American elders, typically aged 55 and older, gain confidence and experience with digital devices. Elders will get hands-on experience signing up for email, learning about scams, downloads, apps, and more. Elders will receive their own tablet at the end of each cohort. Limited spaces.

Matter of Balance

NATIVE HEALTH will be providing A Matter of Balance, fall prevention classes for individuals at risk for falls. This fall prevention program is an evidence-based, 8-week program designed to reduce the fear of falling and increase activity levels in older adults and physically disabled. The program focuses on viewing falls as controllable, setting goals for increased activity, and making environmental changes to reduce fall risks. There will be three cohorts in 2026, held at various NATIVE HEALTH locations.

Arizona Tribal Long Term Care Services ( ALTCS)

The Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS) Tribal Case Management Program. ALTCS is a division of the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), provides acute care (general medical care services), behavioral health, long term care, and case management services for members of 14 Arizona tribes.
