Through NATIVE HEALTH’s free Youth Mental Health First Aid training, adults (18+) learn how to notice, listen, and respond when a young person needs support.

What You’ll Learn in Youth Mental Health First Aid
This interactive training helps you recognize and respond to signs of mental health or substance use challenges in youth ages 12–18.
During the training, you’ll learn how to:
• Notice early warning signs when a young person may be struggling.
• Understand how life stress, trauma, and other factors can affect youth mental health.
• Reach out with empathy and start supportive conversations.
• Respond with confidence in both everyday and crisis situations using a simple 5-step action plan.
• Connect youth to professional help and community resources.
• Encourage ongoing wellness, resilience, and hope.
